"Gesu Bambino" - From The Splendor Of Christmas
During this Christmas show, we were awfully short-staffed, and ended up with only one halfway-assembled rehearsal before the show went on. I was forced to do a lot of the work on my own time, and I went through the score over and over again to figure out all the cues. I scribbled extensive notes throughout, then we enlisted a piano teacher to read through the score along with the live orchestra and cue me off those notes as the show went on. We patched in cameras of all kinds from all over the sanctuary and flew by the seat of our pants.
It ended up being one of the best shows we've ever put on. Here's a sequence with Stephanie Taylor as the soloist, in which she just kills it. Check it out.
