Golf Tournament 2010 Promo
In 2009, Brian McCormack and I put together a super-splashy promo for the Rebelbase Golf Tournament, viewable here. The church was so psyched about the video (and fortunately, equally psyched about the tournament itself, which raised a lot of cash for student missions that year) that doing a cool golf tournament promo is apparently a tradition now, for me and all the video editors who one day follow me. I feel sorry for them, because these are a lot of work.
Unfortunately, we weren't able to spend much time shooting this year - we weren't able to get permission from a golf course, so we just hung out at one and shot snippets of the video in between foursomes - but Tom and Brian did such a bang-up job you'd never know we wer rushing. As you can guess, the video on the left took a ton of frame-by-frame editing and calculation of physics, but when you see the transformation between a shot of two guys waving golf clubs around into a video of the most amazing golf shot you've ever seen, I say it's worth it.
