"Show Your Passion" - Fanbase Promo
As Fanbase.com was launching their site, they first offered it for free to a few thousand influential sports figures (athletes, broadcasters, writers, etc.) on a trial basis, to see how they'd respond. In order to promote the launch, they hired Patrick Hunton and I to create an introductory video right as visitors entered the website.
Since it was needed on extreme short notice, Patty and I would spend hours upon hours in my office late at night, finishing up drafts and emailing out version, getting feedback, and starting over. You could tell they were an internet start up, because even though we'd email them at 3 o'clock in the morning, we'd still get an email back from everyone on staff with critiques within 15 minutes.
I thought, all in all, it came out pretty nicely. Simple idea, low on glitz and glamour, good execution.
